How to Take Action on Your Goals
Imagine this: five frogs are sitting on a log, and four decide to jump off. How many are left?
The answer? Five. Because deciding is not the same as acting.
We are two months into 2025. If you’re feeling behind on your goals, you’re not alone. Many of us start the year with big ambitions but get stuck in a cycle of indecision.
The good news? There are still 10 months left to make significant progress. The key is to stop overthinking and start doing.
Whenever you are stuck searching for the optimal plan, remember getting started changes everything.

Why We Struggle to Take Action
Every decision we make either commits us to something or frees us from it. But making a decision isn’t enough—we need to follow through. So why do so many of us hesitate?
Three common obstacles hold us back:
Too Much Data—Paralysis by Analysis
We live in an era of unlimited information. A simple internet search can give us thousands of answers, opinions, and strategies. While having access to data is helpful, too much can be overwhelming. Instead of gaining clarity, we fall into analysis paralysis—constantly researching, comparing, and second-guessing instead of making a move.
Solution: Set a deadline for decision-making. Gather the essential information, trust your expertise, and commit to an action. Perfect information doesn’t exist, but progress comes from movement, not endless research.
Social Pressure—The Fear of Judgment
We all want to make the right choices, but too often, we let the opinions of others influence us. Whether it’s fear of criticism, imposter syndrome, or simply wanting approval, worrying about what others think can stop us from moving forward.
Solution: Ask, “If no one else’s opinion mattered, what would I do?” The truth is most people are too busy with their own lives to judge others. Focus on what aligns with your values and goals, not external expectations.
Wanting It All—Struggling to Prioritize
Entrepreneurs and solopreneurs are ambitious by nature. We want to grow our businesses, scale our income, create impact, and still have time for personal lives. But trying to do everything at once often leads to doing nothing well.
Solution: Accept that every decision is a trade-off. Saying “yes” to one thing means saying “no” to something else. Prioritize the actions that will create the biggest impact and commit to them fully.
